The Hourglass Nebula of Love
February 1st, 2021
Dear beloved,
I am 13 Middle Eastern starry nights away from seeing you again.
If our love were to be like the hourglass nebula that some scientists believe to have two stars,
you would be the one that caused the nebula to form,
and I would be the one that continues to orbit around the center of our love.
Our devotion to one another glows 13 magnitudes bright,
shining through what feels like 8,000 light-years in my journey back to Earth,
my home, which is you.
A kiss from your incandescent and fiery lips
makes the center of my Wolf-Rayet starburst with passion,
surpassing the 100,000 Kelvin fierce desire.
You always knew how to make my star eject its material through the galaxy
and the nebula glow.
Our love's illuminating nature has always materialized in the purest form,
like nothing I've ever felt before.
For these and more reasons,
every element of my soul reflects a brighter gleam
that goes through the curves of my hips,
cyphering new sets of constellations
and encapsulating cluster clouds until forever more.
Forever yours,
Ibis
