A Moon Whisper
February 2nd, 2021
My love,
I've got 12 night falls 'till our eyes meet again.
During my walks in the late hour
under the moonlight,
I sometimes wonder if you are gazing at our silver orb as I am
For is then that I let my hopes paint our future life together
Sometimes,
the images become so vivid
that they almost make my reality feel like I am waking up from a haze
And although I know they are not real,
it still soothes me.
I often ask the moon
whether she still whispers to your ears while asleep
romantic pieces of poetry
or whether she has delightfully sung to you
the lullabies my heart has composed in the name of our love.
While wishing upon the stars in the depth of ether,
I close my eyes to picture our last kiss,
for even when apart,
My heart knows how to paint the charming glare of your pupils
On occasions,
I call on the wind
to blow upon my skin
a breeze that carries the air which leaves thy lungs
for breathing an instant of you
would give me the strength to endure
our time apart
until our lips meet once again.
Yours truly
Ibis
